Three Nebraska Lakes Among Top 100 for Boating and Fishing

LINCOLN – Three Nebraska lakes have been recognized by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF) in the Top 100 Family-Friendly Places to Boat and Fish in the United States.

The lakes, and their ranking, are: 55. Two Rivers State Recreation Area (SRA), Waterloo; 63. Summit Lake SRA, Tekamah; and 88. Holmes Lake Recreation Area, Lincoln.

Criteria for the top places to boat and fish included having a public body of water within an hour of a major city and good fishing opportunities.

RBFF is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase participation in recreational fishing and boating, thereby restoring and protecting the nation’s aquatic natural resources.
