Krzyzanowski Wins 16-Yard Title at Cornhusker Trapshoot

DONIPHAN – Zack Krzyzanowski of North Platte won a five-person shoot-off Friday in the senior high division’s 16-yard targets at the 45th Annual Cornhusker Trapshoot. He broke all 75 targets in regulation, and then missed just one in the shoot-off.

The top 20 scorers Friday missed one target or less. Saturday’s scores in the 75 handicap targets will be combined with Friday’s scores to determine the overall champion, the Cornhusker Cup winner.

Lori Nevole of Omaha Marian shot 74 of 75 for the top girls score. Boulder County, Colo., had the top 4-H team, breaking 361 of 375 targets. North Platte Blue had the top high school team at 365, and Lincoln Southwest Pink scored a 361 to win the girls’ high school team.

Top Three 4-H Teams – 1. Boulder County, Colo., 4-H No. 1 (Greg Ferguson, Zack Barker, Jess Nighswonger, Austin Massey, Brett Campbell), 361 of 375; 2. Ashland 4-H No. 5, 351; 3. Karp and Krow, 349.

Top Three Girls Teams – 1. Lincoln Southwest Pink (Alexis Philson, Kylee Plager, Brooke Emmert, Markee Tripp, Bailey Gasseling), 361 of 375; 2. Norris Lady No. 1, 334; 3. Papillion-LaVista Lady Titan, 331.

Top Six High School Teams – 1. North Platte Blue (Zack Krzyzanowski, Hunter Hoatson, Dylan Siemers, Tylan Thompson, Darren Armstrong), 365 of 375; 2. Grand Island Northwest Senior No. 6, 355 (won shoot-off); 3. Omaha Marian Blue, 355; 4. Crete Blue, 353 (won shoot-off); 5. Norris Senior No. 1, 353; 6. Omaha Creighton Prep Blue, 351.
