LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commissioners will discuss a plan for addressing deferred maintenance needs within the state park system when they meet May 30 in Alma. The meeting will be at 8 a.m. at the Alma Golf Course Conference Room, 102 Dick Brown Drive.
The commissioners also will consider recommendations:
— to amend hunter education regulations;
— to approve a gift of land from Ducks Unlimited as an addition to Sora Wildlife Management Area in Fillmore County;
— to adopt an interlocal agreement with the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District for the operation of Kramper Lake/Danish Alps Recreation Area in Dakota County.
In addition, there will be presentations by Game and Parks staff on a habitat report and fish-cleaning stations; by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on motorized trails at Harlan County Lake; and by the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources on the Republican River Basin.
