Dove Workshop Scheduled for Platte River SP

LINCOLN, Neb. – Brush up on wing-shooting skills and attend the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s dove workshop and clay shoot Aug. 23 at Platte River State Park.

The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex. Topics will include hunting opportunities, strategies, equipment and recipes for the harvest. Participants should bring firearms and target loads (No. 7½ or smaller) as they will shoot blue rock following the workshop.
