North Platte Office Brings Luke Meduna on Board as Wildlife Biologist II

Luke Meduna was hired as a Wildlife Division-Management (WMA) Section, Fish & Wildlife Biologist II at the SW District Office in North Platte.  Meduna will be responsible for land management on over 12,500 acres of WMA in the northwest portion of the SW District.

Among other duties, Luke will conduct surveys, respond to depredation, nuisance animal, Mt. lion, and disease response, supervision, season setting/game recommendations, regulation changes, and many administrative duties.

Meduna grew up on Sacramento-Wilcox WMA, earned his bachelor’s degree from Doane College and his masters degree from Arkansas Tech University. Meduna, his wife Chrystal, and 10 month old son Jude have made the move from Rapid City, SD, where Luke worked for 6 years as a Resource Biologist for the Sout Dakota GF&P, gaining a great deal of experience working with big game along the way.  Meduna and his wife are glad to be back in their home state of Nebraska.
