Quick blog post to let you know that just yesterday at Lake Halleck in Papillion, 130  really nice 2 to 5 pound channel catfish (see pic below) were stocked from the Game and Parks Commission’s North Platte Fish Hatchery. If you know me, you know that I loooove fishin’ for carp! So, it’s only fitting that I will be promoting the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s ‘carp carnival’ called Carp-O-Rama on my Channel 6 Outdoor Report this week. Today, the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend 2013, members of the Wagner Family who were available to go fishing – went. We sure had a great time! With teenagers, you take advantage of any time that they may have available and want to venture outdoors. I did just that with the youngest member of our family yesterday.
