Arapahoe habitat tour to focus on cover crops

LINCOLN, Neb. – The public is invited to attend a free workshop on the use of cover crops Aug. 21 in Arapahoe. Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will host this habitat tour from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Ella Missing Community Center, 411 6th St. The workshop will include topics such as grazing covers, soil health and financial assistance. Branched Oak habitat tour to focus on brush removal, mulching

LINCOLN, Neb. – Participate in a free workshop on brush removal and mulching July 26 near Branched Oak State Recreation Area. Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will host this habitat tour from 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Branched Oak Maintenance Shop, 13401 W. Branched Oak Road. Become a certified youth fishing instructor May 9 at Fort Kearny SHP

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will certify youth fishing instructors at Fort Kearny State Historical Park southeast of Kearney on May 9.
