LINCOLN – Winterfest is officially underway. Now through April, state parks across Nebraska are celebrating the season through more than a dozen festive public events and special seasonal offerings. LINCOLN – A full day of Winterfest activities are scheduled at Ponca State Park on Dec. 28. The annual Fruitcake Fling, as seen on NBC’s Today Show last year, begins at noon. Toss bird-friendly fruitcakes for distance and try to win a prize. Rekindle Winter Traditions at Ponca State Park’s Winterfest

LINCOLN – Rekindle winter family traditions or create new ones during the Winterfest at Ponca State Park. Scheduled for Saturdays Nov. 30 through Feb. 28, activities are free and open to the public.
