LINCOLN, Neb. – Producers can play a key role in conservation by enrolling acres in the Nebraska Platte-Republican Resources Area Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program. The Nebraska Department of Natural Resources and Nebraska USDA Farm Service Agency have partnered with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Natural Resources Districts, and Irrigation entities in the program. Game and Parks Receives Grant Funding for Open Fields and Waters

LINCOLN – Public access to hunting, fishing and trapping opportunities in Nebraska received a boost on Aug. 17 with the announcement that the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Game and Parks to Receive Grants for Habitat

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will receive $1.2 million in federal grants over the next five years from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help private landowners improve grasslands and croplands for wildlife habitat and agriculture production. The money was provided through the USDA’s Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). The RCPP is a new program in the 2014 Farm Bill managed by USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. A Mega Meeting

Yesterday, we had one our Southeast Regional/District Mega Meetings of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission at Platte River State Park’s Mallet Lodge near Louisville. Monthly meetings (some with work integration) are held within each of the four districts the agency has. The mega meeting is held twice a year in the Commission’s Southeast District where all Game and Parks Commission staffers within or even outside of the region come to hear presentations on cutting edge, timely topics, get updates …
