LINCOLN, Neb. – Ag producers in Frontier, Furnas, Harlan, Hayes, Hitchcock, and Red Willow counties are eligible to receive $61.20 per acre assistance for planting multispecies cover crops. LINCOLN – Producers in south central and southeastern Nebraska have until Jan. 15 to apply for funding to help improve grasslands for grazing and wildlife. A partnership has been formed among the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Pheasants Forever, Audubon Nebraska, and other entities through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). Game and Parks to Receive Grants for Habitat

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will receive $1.2 million in federal grants over the next five years from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help private landowners improve grasslands and croplands for wildlife habitat and agriculture production. The money was provided through the USDA’s Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). The RCPP is a new program in the 2014 Farm Bill managed by USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
