Game and Parks seeks comment on updated pheasant management plan

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is seeking public input on its updated draft pheasant management plan. The 2021 Berggren Plan is named after the late Lynn Berggren, who served as a Commissioner from 2007-2016. The plan seeks to improve the pheasant hunting experience in Nebraska over the next five years with a primary emphasis on improving habitat and increasing public access with several priority areas located throughout the state. LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s big game public informational meeting scheduled for Dec. 21 in Bridgeport has been postponed because of inclement weather. The meeting is rescheduled for Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. at Prairie Winds Community Center, 428 N. LINCOLN, Neb. – A public informational meeting regarding the Valentine National Wildlife Refuge fisheries will be held Oct. 5 in Valentine. The meeting, hosted by the refuge and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the Niobrara Lodge, 803 E. U.S. Highway 20.
