LINCOLN, Neb. – Educators can take advantage of the newly updated Project WILD curriculum in virtual workshops Feb. 16 and 23. Project WILD provides interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education curriculum and materials that focus on wildlife. Project WILD Outdoor Classroom Activities Scheduled in Norfolk

LINCOLN – Nebraska Project WILD will offer Outdoor Classroom activities once a month this summer in Norfolk to engage families in the area in natural play. All activities will take place at the Outdoor Classroom, which is located at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s northeast district office, 2201 N. 13th St. Arrive at 6 p.m. for open play. Activities will last from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by open play until 8 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult. …

Flying WILD Educator Workshops Set for Lincoln, Gering

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is offering two free educator workshops in January focusing on birds. These Project WILD workshops will offer educator training in the “Flying WILD: An Educator’s Guide to Celebrating Birds” curriculum and activity guide. Participants will learn about Nebraska’s bird species and how to use birds and bird watching to engage students in science, nature and being outdoors.
