Introduction to Rifle Shooting July 13 at Platte River SP

LINCOLN, Neb. – Get an introduction to rifle shooting from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission on July 13 at Platte River State Park near Louisville. This First Shots workshop will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex. The free workshop is open to the first 20 people ages 11 and up who register at http://www.register-ed.com/events/view/32689. A park entry permit is required. First Shots is a program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Platte River State Park to Host Beyond BOW Workshop

LINCOLN, Neb. – Experience Platte River State Park in the spring with a daylong Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop April 27. The workshop will include horseback riding for beginners, Dutch oven cooking and shooting skills (archery, shotgun and rifle). Participants must be at least 18 years of age. The $50 registration fee includes meals, but not camping or lodging. A park entry permit is required. Registration and fees are required by April 19.
