LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission reviewed a draft of a comprehensive pheasant management plan at its meeting Feb. 25 at Pheasant Bonanza Hunt Club and Kennel north of Tekamah. Commission Approves Changes to Big Game Regulations

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission made changes to the 2015 big game regulations March 20 at a meeting in Lexington. Most significant of the big game changes is an increase in the River Antlerless Unit deer permit quota from 7,000 to 12,000. This is expected to maintain hunting pressure on white-tailed deer in prime habitat on private land, where high deer herd numbers can develop the fastest. LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will consider grant award recommendations for the 2015 Land and Water Conservation Fund Stateside Assistance Program at its Jan. 15 meeting in Lincoln. The program provides funding for community outdoor recreation projects across Nebraska. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, ball fields, soccer fields, picnic facilities, playgrounds, park acquisition and development, shelter houses, trails and related support facilities. LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commissioners will consider big game recommendations when they meet March 21 in Norfolk. The meeting will be at 8 a.m. at Divots Conference Center, 4200 W.
