Nebraska boat ramps unavailable south of Interstate 80

LINCOLN, Neb. – No boat ramps are usable in Nebraska along the Missouri River from Interstate 80 to the Kansas border. The river is running high and flood warnings remain in effect for portions of the Missouri from Burt County to the southern border. LINCOLN, Neb. – The management of five wildlife management areas along the Missouri River will be transferred from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission back to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Boating restrictions temporarily in place below Gavins Point Dam

LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska anglers and boaters should be aware of restrictions on the Missouri River below Gavins Point Dam because of spillway flows. Boaters are urged to use caution when water is released through the spillway, as hazardous conditions may exist. Signs located on the north and south bank of the Missouri River, approximately 500 yards below the spillway, mark a restricted area for boats. During spillway releases, boaters will not be allowed to go upstream of these signs. …
