State High School Fishing Tournament Coming to Elwood Reservoir July 23

LINCOLN – The Sixth Annual Nebraska State High School Fishing Tournament is scheduled for July 23 at Elwood Reservoir Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The tournament, a cooperative program between the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and The Bass Federation – Student Angler Foundation, is open to two-person teams of anglers in grades 9 through 12. North Platte’s Pavelka, Rowland Win State High School Fishing Title

LINCOLN – Grant Pavelka and Tyler Rowland of the North Platte Bass Bosses caught a five-fish limit weighing 9.86 pounds to capture the Nebraska High School Fishing Championship on July 25 at Lewis and Clark Lake near Crofton. The winning team’s largest bass weighed 2.35 pounds. Ben Pavelka was the team’s coach and boat operator. 2013 High School Bass Fishing Championship

Last Saturday was the 2013 Nebraska High School Bass Fishing Championship.  I know there has been a lot of talk about this on the internet and elsewhere already; might as well add my perspective. Gretna Anglers Win High School Fishing Tournament

LINCOLN, Neb. – Eric Soe and Payne Ahrens of Gretna won the 2013 Nebraska State High School Fishing Tournament on July 27 at Harlan County Reservoir. The Gretna Dragon team, with coach/boat driver Cory Roll, weighed in a five-fish limit totaling 15 pounds. Soe also caught the tournament’s biggest largemouth bass at 5 pounds, 8 ounces. LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska State High School Fishing Tournament will take place July 27 at Harlan County Reservoir near Alma. This third annual event is open to students in grades 9-12.
