On the Platte Close to Home

This past week, Game & Parks friends and I enjoyed kayaking and canoeing the Platte River just south/southwest of the Omaha-metro area and sure had a nice trip. A Mega Meeting

Yesterday, we had one our Southeast Regional/District Mega Meetings of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission at Platte River State Park’s Mallet Lodge near Louisville. Monthly meetings (some with work integration) are held within each of the four districts the agency has. The mega meeting is held twice a year in the Commission’s Southeast District where all Game and Parks Commission staffers within or even outside of the region come to hear presentations on cutting edge, timely topics, get updates …
