LINCOLN – The celebration of Independence Day at an 1820s military post will be depicted at Living History Weekend at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park (SHP) on July 5-6. LINCOLN – Life at an 1820s military post will be depicted at Living History Weekend at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park on May 3-4. LINCOLN, Neb. – Communities in Nebraska continue to rally around their state park areas to reinstate events and delay temporary closures. The Candlelight Tour on Nov. 2 is back on the calendar at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park (SHP) near Fort Calhoun. LINCOLN, Neb. – Fort Atkinson State Historical Park on July 6-7 will re-enact an 1820s civilian and military July 4th celebration.
