High river flows close Riverview Marina SRA, Indian Cave SP boat ramp

LINCOLN, Neb. – Riverview Marina State Recreation Area (SRA) in Nebraska City and the boat ramp at Indian Cave State Park near Shubert are closed to the public until further notice due to high flows from the Missouri River. In addition, the high water from heavy recent rains have put the boat ramps out of service at Wagon Train and Bluestem SRAs in Lancaster County. Flooding Affects Southeast Nebraska Parks

LINCOLN – Several state recreation areas in Southeast Nebraska have been affected by heavy rainfall and not all areas may be accessible, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. At Stagecoach State Recreation Area (SRA), Dam Road remains closed, there is standing water on approaches to docks. Outdoor Recreationists Should Stay Away from Flood Waters

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) urge outdoor recreationists to stay away from standing or moving flood waters in western and central Nebraska. Game and Parks officers rescued a man from the South Platte River west of Big Springs on Sept. 18.
