Family Fishing Event scheduled today in Lincoln canceled

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Family Fishing Event scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at Lincoln’s Bowling Lake has been canceled due to excessive heat predicted for today. The next Family Fishing Event in Lincoln is scheduled for Aug. 3 at Holmes Lake. Family Fishing Event July 20 at Bowling Lake Canceled

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Family Fishing event scheduled for July 20 at Lincoln’s Bowling Lake has been canceled because of expected excessive heat. The final Family Fishing event in Lincoln this summer will be Aug. 4 at Holmes Lake. Upcoming events in the Omaha area will be July 19 at Zorinsky Lake, July 28 at Benson Park, and Aug. 2 at Prairie Queen Lake. LINCOLN – Enjoy a day of family fishing for all ages at the Fishing is Fun! event on Aug. 1 at Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area in Cherry County. Cops and Bobbers
