EAB confirmed at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park

LINCOLN, Neb. – Emerald ash borer (EAB) was discovered at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park (SP) on June 6 and has been confirmed by a state entomologist. Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) staff found EAB in a baited trap at the park’s Lakeside Campground. EAB is an invasive beetle native to Asia. It kills ash trees when its larvae feed on the inner bark, disrupting the tree’s ability to transport water and nutrients. Since first discovered in the United States …

LINCOLN, Neb. – A new dining experience is coming to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. Caddy’s Parkside Grill, located within Peter Kiewit Lodge, will open March 1. Owners Brian and Jayme Cadwallader also own and operate the Salty Dog Bar and Grill in Council Bluffs and are preparing to build a second restaurant in downtown Council Bluffs. Mahoney wine, craft beer festival set for May 11-12

LINCOLN, Neb. – The fifth annual Sip Nebraska festival, featuring tastings of wine, craft beer and spirits made in Nebraska, will return to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park on May 11-12.
