LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has revised the agenda for its Jan. 19 meeting at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park near Ashland for the addition of an update on mountain lion population research. The hunter orange update and other items have been moved to the Jan. 18 informational meeting. LINCOLN, Neb. – Celebrate amphibians at Salamander Saturday on June 3 at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Riverview Lodge, visitors will be able to see salamanders and create their own salamander armbands. From 1-1:45 p.m., University of Nebraska-Lincoln herpetologist Dennis Ferraro will give a presentation on the disappearance of the western tiger salamander from eastern Nebraska.
