LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters have until July 5 to apply for a 2019-2020 multispecies lottery permit. Two types of permits are available: Super Tag and Combo. The Super Tag permit is valid in 2019 and 2020 for one elk of either sex, one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex, and two turkeys (only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring). New process in place for awarding big game draw permits

LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters should be aware of a new process for awarding big game draw permits starting this year, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Applicants for deer, antelope and elk draw permits who supply valid email addresses will be notified when the draw is complete. Applicants not providing valid email addresses will be responsible for monitoring their status online at OutdoorNebraska.org. Super Tag

21-year-old completes multi-species Super Tag. Zachary Welch of Ainsworth is the latest hunter to complete the Nebraska Game and Park’s resident-only super tag, which allows for one elk, one antelope, one deer and two turkeys. The permit is awarded to one hunter annually by lottery and is valid for two years. Welch, a 21-year-old student at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, successfully hunted all five animals within four months by archery. He harvested a bull elk south of Wellfleet, a white-tailed …

LINCOLN, Neb. – Applicants for antelope, deer and elk draw unit permits should be advised of a change to the payment system this year. Starting this year, fees of $5.50 for antelope, $7 for deer and $10 for elk are due at the time of application.
