The east access road off NW 84th Street, leading to the boat ramp and parking lot at Wildwood Wildlife Management Area in Lancaster County, will be closed Feb. 28 for tree clearing. Heavy, drifting snow closes Clear Creek WMA to vehicle access

Clear Creek Wildlife Management Area in Garden and Keith counties is closed until further notice to all vehicle access due to high winds and heavy, drifting snow. The closure includes the Special Hunting Area, where controlled waterfowl hunting takes place from blinds. There will be no drawings for goose pits and no staff present until conditions improve.

Repairs begin on boat ramp area at Indian Cave State Park

LINCOLN, Neb. – Repairs begin this week on the boat ramp area at Indian Cave State Park, including silt removal, guardrail replacement and repairing the riprap along the banks of the area. The boat ramp remains closed until this work is completed, which is estimated to be two to three weeks. An entry permit is required of each vehicle entering Indian Cave State Park.

LINCOLN, Neb. – Schilling Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Cass County is closed temporarily to vehicle traffic due to recent heavy rains that have made roads impassable. The closure is in effect on a daily basis until water recedes. In addition, access to the Peru Boat Ramp in Nemaha County and other WMAs in southeastern Nebraska might be limited because of wet conditions.
