LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will accept lottery applications for mountain lion permits Nov. 1 – Dec. 8, 2021, for the 2022 hunting season. Permits are available only to Nebraska residents, who may have one permit per calendar year. The bag limit for each permit is one mountain lion of either sex. Trout in the Classroom application deadline is Aug. 31

LINCOLN, Neb. – Applications are being accepted through Aug. 31 for Nebraska’s Trout in the Classroom program for the 2021-2022 school year. This program, sponsored by the Nebraska Environmental Trust and a Nebraska Trout Unlimited chapter, is for teachers interested in raising live fish in their classroom and using the tank in countless lesson plans and everyday activities. Game and Parks accepting Gifford Point access permit applications July 1-31

LINCOLN, Neb. – People interested in hunting deer at Gifford Point Wildlife Management Area this fall may apply for access permits July 1-31. Two hundred of these permits will be issued to allow hunters access to the area. The use of rimfire and centerfire weapons is prohibited at Gifford.
