Big game meetings scheduled across Nebraska

LINCOLN – Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game issues during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public informational meetings in December. Meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district. Biologists will explain and take questions on several topics, including deer management, deer damage and depredation permits, antlerless harvest, trophy management and diseases. LINCOLN – Nebraska deer, antelope and elk permits will be available for purchase on a first-come basis beginning at 1 p.m. Central time on July 11. Residents, nonresidents and eligible landowners will be able to purchase remaining deer and antelope permits, and residents and eligible landowners will be able to purchase remaining elk permits. Game and Parks Seeks Information on 25 Illegally Killed Antelope

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is seeking information involving the killing and wanton waste of 25 antelope. The antelope were illegally shot and left lay near Broadwater in Morrill County. During the week of Nov. 12, reports of dead antelope lying in a winter wheat field northeast of Broadwater were investigated by Nebraska conservation officers.
