Private Archery Instruction Offered at Outdoor Education Center

LINCOLN – Private instruction for beginner or novice archers is available in the indoor archery range at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln. The center has a pro staff available to provide everything from setting up or tuning a new bow to archery lessons. These private sessions are available at $30 per hour by reservation only. Email the center, located at 4703 N. 44th St., at ngpc.outdoored@nebraska.gov to make an appointment.

Game and Parks Announces Spring Trout Stocking Schedule

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will stock catchable-size rainbow trout in several city ponds and lakes across the state this month. Commission to Consider Grants for Outdoor Recreation Projects

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will consider grant award recommendations for the 2015 Land and Water Conservation Fund Stateside Assistance Program at its Jan. 15 meeting in Lincoln. The program provides funding for community outdoor recreation projects across Nebraska. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, ball fields, soccer fields, picnic facilities, playgrounds, park acquisition and development, shelter houses, trails and related support facilities. The program provides reimbursable matching grants for 50 percent of project costs. …

Outdoor Education Center Has Full December Schedule

LINCOLN – A full schedule of programs is available in December at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln. All current military personnel and veterans get a 50-percent discount on lane fees each Monday in December. Seniors ages 60 and up get the same discount on Fridays.
