3-D Archery Shoot set for June 5-6 at Ponca State Park

LINCOLN, Neb. — The 12th Annual SCHEELS 3-D Archery Shoot will be June 5-6 at Ponca State Park. The tristate competition will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days in the Eric Wiebe Shooting Complex, where 20 stations and 60 targets will be set up. All ages and skill levels are welcome. LINCOLN, Neb. – With the holiday weekend coming, campers are reminded they will need a reservation to stay overnight at Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala state recreation areas. Campers should book their reservation at the two state recreation areas before leaving home. Biodiversity conservation grant funded by Nebraska Environmental Trust

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission recently received $200,000 from the Nebraska Environmental Trust for the Nebraska Natural Legacy Project: New Approaches to Biodiversity Conservation. This is the third and final year of the grant project, totaling $570,000. These funds have been used to improve thousands of acres of habitat on private and public lands. So much so, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, with the help of Cornhusker Fly Fishers and Trout Unlimited, has expanded its Discover Fly-Fishing event schedule for 2021. Game and Parks accepting grant applications for projects promoting outdoor recreation

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is accepting grant applications for 2021 to promote outdoor recreation facilities and amenities for political subdivision parks and outdoor recreation areas. The grants are funded by the Land and Water Conservation Fund, administered by the National Park Service for outdoor recreation projects. LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is accepting applications for the Recreational Trails Program for fiscal year 2022 funding. The Recreational Trails Program is a grant program through the Federal Highway Administration that reimburses political subdivisions, such as communities, counties, natural resources districts, up to maximum of $250,000 or 80% of project costs for trail acquisition, development, renovation and support facilities.
