North Platte Office Brings Luke Meduna on Board as Wildlife Biologist II

Luke Meduna was hired as a Wildlife Division-Management (WMA) Section, Fish & Wildlife Biologist II at the SW District Office in North Platte.  Meduna will be responsible for land management on over 12,500 acres of WMA in the northwest portion of the SW District. Among other duties, Luke will conduct surveys, respond to depredation, nuisance animal, Mt. lion, and disease response, supervision, season setting/game recommendations, regulation changes, and many administrative duties. Kyle Smith Joins Osage WMA as Fish and Wildlife Biologist

Kyle Smith was hired as a Fish & Wildlife Biologist I at the Osage Wildlife Management Area shop near Tecumseh. He will be assisting Mike Remund taking care of WMA’s in the SE along with depredation & nuisance animal response. Mahoney’s Valentines Day Drew 140 Sweethearts

Mahoney State Park held its annual Valentine’s Day Special  Feb. 10 -14 . Seventy couples reserved packages for the special event. The special could be added on for an additional $50 to any lodge room or cabin reserved.
