Louisville SRA electric campsites to get upgrade

LINCOLN, Neb. — Louisville State Recreation Area campground is getting an electrical upgrade, causing potential electrical campsite closures into November. The update is being made to 27 sites in the Cut-Through Campground and Venture Lane Campsites so each will be available for 50-, 30- and 20-amp service. LINCOLN, Neb. – Due to vehicle mechanical problems, the stocking of rainbow trout at Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area No. 2 is delayed until the week of Oct. 19. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission had planned to stock 5,000 10-inch trout at Fremont Oct. 15 to enhance fishing opportunities this fall and winter. LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission approved sport fishing orders at its meeting Oct. 15 in Ogallala. Approved sport fishing amendments include orders for two reservoirs under construction in Sarpy County – Big Elk Lake and WP-6. Each will be stocked only with smallmouth bass and yellow perch to create a unique fishery in southeast Nebraska. The ramp was severely damaged during the 2019 high Missouri River flows, prompting the need to rebuild it.
