Talk a Big Game

If I hear one more perky TV girl talk about how nice the weather has been this winter, I am going to start throwing tomatoes.  I imagine security would prevent me from doing that live, in the studio, so my big screen at home might get some abuse.

Between lack of ice and snowstorms, I still have not been on the ice fishing.  I am getting grumpier by the day.

But, that will not prevent me from talking about it tonight!

Discover Ice-Fishing events schedule in January

LINCOLN, Neb. – Anglers can learn the basics of ice-fishing or pick up a few new tips from experienced anglers at Discover Ice-Fishing events in January, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

— A classroom event specifically for beginners and families will be Jan. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, 4703 N. 44th St., Lincoln. The fee for this how-to-ice-fish event is $5 per family. Sign up at apm.activecommunities.com/ngpc/Activity_Search/425.

I know this is short notice, and yes, I know that folks outside of eastern Nebraska plain do not care.  However if you are in town and are interested, we would love to see you!
