Cutthroats! Finally!

I have been promising that we have been raising some more cutthroat trout and will be stocking them again in Nebraska waters.  I just got word that the first of those stockings has happened!  A thousand 10-inch cutties were stocked in the White River in far northwest Nebraska today!

Those of you still needing a cutthroat to complete your Nebraska Trout Slam, there are some more out there again!

We have a few thousand more cutthroats at the Grove Trout Rearing Station that will be stocked in additional waters.  Those stockings should be on the way in the next few weeks; we will get the word out when that occurs.

If you want to fish the White for some of those cutties, there are a bunch of brown trout there too, make sure to check out the new Public Lands Atlas!  A good stretch of the White River is enrolled in our Open Waters program and is open to public fishing.

Wish I was there now!
