LINCOLN, Neb. – A new kind of entertainment is coming to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park this winter – magic shows.
Starting Dec. 8, the Denman and Mary Mallory Kountze Memorial Theatre will host two magic shows running through February 2019, “Winter Wonderland” and “Midwinter’s Night Dream.” Both shows are interactive and run approximately 45-50 minutes in length. The shows were produced by Popcorn Productions.
Shows are performed by Old Market Magician Ryan Chandler. Fresh from his television debut on the CW’s “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” Chandler is known for his unique street style which often combines magic and elements of music. Shows are held on alternating Saturdays. “Winter Wonderland” is set for Dec. 8 and 22, Jan. 5 and 19, and Feb. 2 and 16. “Midwinter’s Night Dream” is scheduled for Dec. 15 and 29, Jan. 12 and 26, and Feb. 9 and 23. The Jan. 19 and 26 shows are at 2 p.m.; all other show times are 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 per child, ages 12 and under. To reserve tickets in advance, call 402-944-2523 ext. 7122. Present your ticket at the park’s restaurant, Caddy’s Parkside Grill, for 10 percent off the cost of an entrée.
