Jan. 7 – Duck and coot hunting seasons close in Zone 3, Low Plains and High Plains Units

Jan. 8 – First day of spring turkey hunting permit sales

Jan. 8-28 – Duck and coot hunting seasons in Zones 2 and 3, High Plains Unit

Jan. 9 – Big game informational meeting, Mid-Plains Community College, Imperial

Jan. 9 – Big game informational meeting, Nielsen Community Center, West Point

Jan. 10 – Big game informational meeting, Senior Center, Fullerton

Jan. 11 – Big game informational meeting, Custer County Fairgrounds 4-H Building, Broken Bow

Jan. 19 – Dark goose hunting season closes in North Central Unit

Jan. 19 – Nebraska Game and Parks Commission meeting, Eugene T. Mahoney SP, Ashland

Jan. 20 – Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament, Eugene T. Mahoney SP, Ashland

Jan. 20 – Crow hunting season opens statewide

Jan. 20 – Family Ice Fishing Clinic, Lake Wanahoo SRA, Wahoo

Jan. 24 – Prescribed burn training workshop, McCook

Jan. 24-February 11 – Statewide light goose hunting season

Jan. 30 – Prescribed burn training workshop, Grand Island

Jan. 30 – Prescribed burn training workshop, Norfolk

Jan. 31 – Prescribed burn training workshop, Lincoln

Jan. 31 – Hunting seasons close for November late doe/fawn antelope, fall turkey, pheasant, quail, partridge, grouse and squirrel
