LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will host several Learn to Hunt workshops this fall to help novices prepare for upcoming hunting seasons.
These free workshops are designed to improve confidence and expand knowledge for those with little or no experience. There are workshops for deer, bird and predator hunting. Presenters will discuss strategies, equipment, biology and techniques.
The workshop schedule is:
Aug. 27 – deer hunting, Izaak Walton League, Bennet
Aug. 29 – dove hunting, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
Sept. 12 – basics of hunting, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
Oct. 3 – waterfowl, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
Oct. 10 – upland bird hunting, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
Oct. 12 – deer hunting, Omaha Gun Club, Omaha
Oct. 12 – deer hunting, Lincoln Park Fire Station, Hastings
Oct. 17 – deer hunting, Yanney Heritage Park, Kearney
Oct. 19 – deer hunting, Game and Parks southwest district office, North Platte
Oct. 24 – deer hunting, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
Nov. 28 – muzzleloader deer hunting, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
Dec. 5 – predator hunting, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln
