April 5 – Learn to Hunt Spring Turkey workshop, Game and Parks Southwest District Office, North Platte

April 6 – Learn to Hunt Spring Turkey workshop, Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium, Gretna

April 6 – Statewide crow hunting season closes

April 8 – Spring youth shotgun turkey season opens

April 8 – Happy Birthday, Nebraska! Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area (SRA), Gering

April 8-9 – Whole Pig class, Fort Atkinson SHP, Fort Calhoun

April 13 – Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, Beyond Bats, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, Lincoln

April 15 – Light Goose Conservation Order closes in East Zone

April 15 – Spring shotgun turkey season opens

April 15 – Project Appleseed .22 Competition, Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex, Platte River SP, Louisville

April 17 – Application period begins for bighorn sheep lottery permit

April 21 – Nebraska Game and Parks Commission meeting, Norfolk

April 22 – Republican Valley Archery 3-D Shoot, Red Willow Reservoir SRA, McCook

April 28 – Arbor Day, Game and Parks offices closed

April 29 – 6th Annual Outdoor Adventure, Indian Cave SP, Shubert

April 29 – Bacon and Beer Feed, Fort Atkinson SHP, Fort Calhoun

April 29 – Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex opens for 2017 season, Platte River SP, Louisville

April 29-30 – Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Experience Platte River State Park, Louisville
