Change made to Omaha-area deer check stations

LINCOLN – One step in preparing for the November firearm deer season is locating a site to check in your deer. Omaha-area hunters are reminded that Hitches Plus in Papillion no longer is a deer check station.

Firearm deer hunters and archers harvesting deer during the November firearm season must deliver their deer to a check station no later than 1 p.m. on the day following the close of the season. The November firearm deer season is Nov. 12-20.

To view available Omaha-area check stations, or others around the state, as well as a summary of deer regulations, visit OutdoorNebraska.gov/HuntingSeasons.
