Alternate Entrance to Serve Kearney Office During Construction

LINCOLN – Beginning Monday, July 18, visitors to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission office in Kearney will need to access the building from a different entrance during construction work to the front of the building.

The building will not be handicap-accessible during construction, which is expected to last for two weeks. Obstructed areas will include the main parking lot and front entrance.

Game and Parks officials decided to replace the concrete in the parking lot and front entrance stoop after noticing cracks and sinking areas. In addition to replacing the concrete, workers will add a handicap-accessible pathway to the north side of the parking lot.

Visitors may park along the street and follow signs to an alternate entrance. Caution is needed when using this temporary entrance, as the ground is uneven.

The Kearney office is located at 1617 First Ave. For additional information, call the office at 308-865-5310.
