Cowboy Trail Master Plan Meeting in Rushville Rescheduled for Dec. 16

LINCOLN – The public informational meeting scheduled for Dec. 15 in Rushville on the development of a master plan for the Cowboy Recreation and Nature Trail has been postponed until Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. because of inclement weather.

The meeting will take place at the Security First Retail Center, 110 E. 2nd St.

Staff from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Nebraska Tourism Commission will make short presentations at the beginning of the meeting. Anyone in attendance then will be able to comment on what they would like to see included in the master plan.

Game and Parks has operated and maintained the Cowboy Trail since being given that responsibility by the Nebraska Legislature in 1994.

Game and Parks will accept public comments on issues relating to the Cowboy Trail until Dec. 31. Comments may be emailed to Planning and Programming Division Assistant Administrator Kirk Nelson at kirk.nelson@nebraska.gov.
