LINCOLN – Novice hunters and trappers are the focus of free workshops the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is hosting to help them prepare for the fall seasons.
While these workshops are designed to improve confidence and expand knowledge for those with little to no experience, they are open to anyone interested in becoming more successful, regardless of skill level.
Game and Parks specialists will cover successful strategies, equipment, biology, techniques and other topics. The workshops will run 6-8:30 p.m.
Workshops scheduled in Lincoln will be held at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center. The workshop schedule is:
Oct. 15 – Introduction to Trapping, Lincoln; Oct. 21 – Upland Game Hunting, Lincoln; Oct. 22 – Waterfowl Hunting, Lincoln; Oct. 27 – Deer Hunting, Lincoln; Oct. 28 – Deer Hunting, Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium, Gretna; Oct. 28 – Deer Hunting, Chadron State College, Chadron; Oct. 29 – Deer Hunting, Game and Parks district office, North Platte; Nov. 24 – Muzzleloader Deer Hunting, Lincoln; Dec. 2 – Predator Calling, Lincoln
