Learn Outdoor Skills as a Family at Fort Kearny SRA

LINCOLN – Learn lifelong outdoor skills as a family at the Becoming an Outdoors-Family workshop Aug. 8-9 at Fort Kearny State Historical Park and State Recreation Area.

Skills learned will help families enjoy the outdoors, create memories and start new traditions. Those skills include fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, aquatic education, outdoor cooking, archery and air guns.

Free time may be spent enjoying swimming, disc golf, sand volleyball or visiting nearby Fort Kearny State Historical Park.

The fee is $60 for a group of six or fewer people. There is a $20 fee for each additional person. Park entry and fishing permits are required.

Fort Kearny is located 5 miles southeast of Kearney in Buffalo County.
