Ice Bowl Disc Golf Jan. 10 at Mahoney State Park

LINCOLN – Compete for prizes or just for fun at the Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park on Jan. 10.

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, players throw a flying disc at a basket. The object is to traverse a course in the fewest number of throws of the disc.

Players tee off at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the Open Division who complete at least the first nine holes. Players in the Recreation Division will compete for fun. Loaner disc sets will be available on a first-come basis.

Registration is $10. All proceeds will go toward the Hunters Helping the Hungry program, which allows for the distribution of donated venison to food pantries across the state.

Register by calling 402-944-2523 extension 7340 or sign up the day of the event at the park’s greenhouse, located just north of the Activity Center.

A park entry permit is required.
