Snow Ice Cream

With snow cover now blanketing much of Nebraska, and after receiving a couple requests for it, I thought it would be a perfect time to share with you once more my recipe for making snow ice cream. It’s a fun activity to do on frigid days like these we’re experiencing here in early December on the Great Plains. By the way, your kids will have a blast making and eating snow ice cream! So, without further ado, here’s the recipe:




Condensed Milk

Sugar (optional)


Chocolate Syrup (optional)

First, gather a bowl of fresh, clean snow (no yellow color or particles in it, HA!). Then, mix in enough condensed milk to give it the consistency of real ice cream. Add sugar, vanilla and/or chocolate syrup to taste. Enjoy!
