Father Hupp WMA to Close Temporarily for Renovation

LINCOLN, Neb. – Father Hupp Wildlife Management Area in Thayer County will close temporarily for a wetland renovation and development project, effective immediately. The area will close for all public activity, including hunting, and appropriate signage will be installed.

The area is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Oct. 21, 2013, depending on the progress of construction activities. The enhancement of this wetland area will greatly increase its use by migratory waterfowl and provide more hunting opportunities.
