“Wives”

Some of you will probably remember the old Ugly Stik commercials featuring angler’s wives.  I had all of those commercials in a “long play” version and they were even better than the 30-second spots that ran on TV.  Unfortunately, my links to those long play versions have gone bad, except for this one. . . .

Wow.  I guess there are some wives out there who have some real issues.

Maybe they should just go fishing?

By the way, in my opinion, Ugly Stik rods are excellent rods.  They are not the most expensive rods on the market, but they are very good quality and they do the job.  I must add that the advertisement is correct–they are nearly indestructible.  I have an Ugly Stik casting rod that I have had since my high school days, and that was a LONG time ago.  I am still using that rod, abused it on the Missouri River a week ago; had to re-glue one of the guides but after that 10-minute repair it is good to go, good as new.
