New Information Technology Application Developer Position Goes to Schultz

Michael Schultz has been hired at Game and Parks as the new Information Technology Application Developer.  His duties include being responsible for online application development, Content Management Systems (CMS), including  programming and maintenance on assigned computer applications.  Schultz coordinates with the Information Technology and Communications Divisions to install, develop and maintain new agency applications and communicate closely with content providers to determine system needs. His position will require him to research system enhancements; perform analysis of applications; troubleshoot and bug test applications, and create new programs for ongoing needs to support agency growth and efficiencies.

Most recently Schultz worked at Interact Incorporated, a Lincoln business, for 11 years as a Senior Front End Web Developer and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he dual matriculated, earning a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art.

Originally from Stratton, NE, Schultz now resides just outside of Raymond with his wife, Jennifer, two children, Jacob and Julia, and one lab, Jette.

“We are usually running around from one kid related activity to another, but when we do have free time, our favorite thing to do is attend Husker Volleyball and Football games. I also enjoy competing in the annual Sandhills Open Road Challenge, a 55 mile rally style open road race through the Sandhills, and collecting/restoring muscle cars.”
