Reinke Wins State 3-D Archery Tournament

LINCOLN, Neb. – Evan Reinke of Davenport scored 404 of a possible 440 points to win the Nebraska High School 3-D Archery Tournament June 8 in Norfolk. He captured the senior compound title along the way.

The competition consists of an archer shooting at one or two different 3-D animal targets at each of 20 stations. The event was held at the Norfolk Archery Range. Sixty-two youths competed.

Grant Brussen of Randolph was the senior traditional champion with 345 points. Junior champions were Triston Palsensky (traditional) of Schuyler at 278 and Jason Saville (compound) of Blair at 386.

Team – 1. Schuyler (Jesse Westerbuhr, Josh Pflasterer, Justin Horejsi), 1,113 points; 2. Broken Bow (Zak Harper, Jordan Popp, Ben Skeen), 1,014 ; 3. Elgin (Kalin Henn, Morgan Carpenter, Jon Meis), 958.

Senior Female Traditional – 1. Shania Hansen, Madison, 224; 2. Hannah Smith, Broken Bow, 97.

Senior Male Traditional – 1. Brunssen, Randolph, 345.

Senior Female Compound – 1. Katie Panowicz, Kearney, 319; 2. Sarah Allen, Hastings, 260; 3. Faith Nichols, Broken Bow, 254.

Senior Male Compound – 1. E. Reinke, Davenport, 404; 2. Micah Reinke, Davenport, 389; 3. Carson Badgley, Callaway, 381.

Junior Male Traditional – 1. Palensky, Schuyler, 278; 2. Michael Polt, Pierce, 213; 3. Caleb Smith, Broken Bow, 190.

Junior Female Compound – 1. Alexus Glaser, Norfolk, 330; 2. Morgan Carpenter, Elgin, 313; 3. Mackenna Hunt, Beaver City, 272.

Junior Male Compound – 1. Saville, Blair, 386; 2. Jesse Westerbuhr, Schuyler, 383; 3. Jesse Schmit, Gibbon, 376.
