Canoeing the Scenic Niobrara River on WOWT Outdoors

Grab a life jacket and hop aboard, we’re gonna canoe the spring-fed waters of the scenic Niobrara River east of  Valentine, NE this week on my WOWT-TV/Channel 6 Weekly Outdoor Report. I’ll talk about and show you why a summer float trip on this river should be on everyone’s bucket list! I’ll also address how to avoid a lot of other water traffic on the river.

Don’t miss the broadcast! It airs on on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6 and on the Internet at www.wowt.com LIVE Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. CST during the station’s sportscast. Video replays of the outdoor report with the Channel 6 Sports Machine crew are always available after the initial cast at this link: www.wowt.com/sports The report can be accessed on Digital Channel 6.2 and Cox Cable Channel 120 as well. An additional reminder that Channel 6 runs The Weekly Outdoor Report on Saturdays later in the station’s hour-long 8 a.m. newscast.

Thanks for watching, and we hope to get you and your family on the Niobrara River before summer’s end!  I’ll bet you can’t stand underneath this cold, spring-fed  waterfall (Berry Falls) along the river for more than 10 seconds, HA!
