Great Family Outdoor Getaway on WOWT Outdoors

Looking for a great family outdoor getaway for Memorial Day Weekend or perhaps this summer where you can pitch a tent, wet a line, kick back, relax and have fun with the family? Well, I have just the place for you and I’ll tell you about it on my Weekly Outdoor Report airing on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6 and online at www.wowt.com. In fact, this scenic outdoor recreational getaway has a new RV campground that was dedicated for my old buddy Bob Eckdahl. It’s a scenic state recreation area as evidenced by the neat pic Jenny Nguyen of Game and Parks shot there last weekend. Thanks for the use of the pic, Jen, much appreciated, compadre!

Know where I’m taking you and your family yet?  Hmmm … Another hint: this mid-sized reservoir is known in fishing circles for continually producing nice-sized bluegill from its breakwaters.

Still don’t know where we’re heading? Find out for sure by tuning in LIVE Thursday evening at 6 p.m. CST during the sportscast on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6 and online at www.wowt.com!

Remember, if you are unable to view the live broadcast of the outdoor report, video replays of it can be seen after the initial cast at this link: www.wowt.com/sports The outdoor report can also be accessed on Digital Channel 6.2 and Cox Cable Channel 120. In addition, Channel 6 runs The Weekly Outdoor Report on Saturdays later in the station’s hour-long 8 a.m. newscast. Thanks a bunch for watching, see you on the water!
