On the opening morning of Nebraska’s popular Spring Shotgun Wild Turkey Hunting Season, I bring (who I believe to be) the Grandmaster of Wild Turkey Hunting to you on my one-of-a-kind Great Outdoor Radio Show presented by Mahoney State Park. Who is the Grandmaster of  Turkey Hunting? It’s this man!

None other than legendary turkey hunter, veteran turkey call maker (www.turpincalls.com) and humorist Dick Turpin of Lincoln, NE! Dick joins me along with his sidekick Dudley Moore on the show airing Saturday morning  from 9-10 a.m. CST on Omaha’s KOZN Radio 1620 AM “The Zone” and online at www.1620thezone.com as well as through various mobile device apps.

A native of Gretna, NE, a graduate of Gretna High School and Bellevue University, Greg Wagner currently serves as the Communications and Marketing Specialist and Manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's Service Center in Omaha. On a weekly basis, Wagner can be heard on a number of radio stations, seen on local television in Omaha, and on social media channels, creatively conveying natural resource conservation messages as well as promoting outdoor activities and destinations in Nebraska. Wagner, whose career at Game and Parks began in 1979, walks, talks, lives, breathes and blogs about Nebraska’s outdoors. He grew up in rural Gretna, building forts in the woods, hunting, fishing, collecting leaves, and generally thriving on constant outdoor activity.
